Reducing Christmas Overwhelm for Autistic Children and Young People

Many Autistic children and young people find Christmas time overwhelming for a variety of reasons. If you’ve read our previous post about Preparing for Christmas with Autistic Children, then hopefully you’ve picked up some helpful strategies about planning ahead. We also wanted to share this fantastic resource shared by Neurowild on her Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=557618897177131&set=a.101087979496894 as this gives your Autistic child an opportunity to voice themselves what might be supportive for them. There is never a ‘one size fits all’ resource or strategy when it comes to supporting Autistic people but the more we know, the more we can try different things, especially when these strategies have been shared by the Neurodivergent community themselves.
