Spectrum Autism Diagnostic Assessment Services specialise in neuro-affirmative private Autism Assessments for children and young people in North London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and surrounding areas.

Our assessments meet the strict criteria set out in NICE Guidance and our clinicians are highly experienced with many years of diagnosing autism within both the NHS and private practice.

Our professionals prepare reports written with a positive and neuro-affirmative approach; we not only present the child or young person's differences but we consider their whole profile and also focus on the individual's strengths and abilities.

We provide autism assessments for children and young people aged between 5 and 25. However, in some situations we may be able to offer autism assessments for children as young as 3.

Autism is a lifelong neuro-developmental condition that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people; how they manage relationships and social situations; and how they experience the world around them. Autistic people see, hear, and feel the world differently to other people.

More than one in one hundred people are on the autism spectrum and there are around 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK.

ASD Assessment

"I was recommended Spectrum by a friend. The thing that stood out for me when thinking about using them for my son's assessment was that they would come to our home to carry out his assessment (much better than having to do at a clinic, or virtually, like most other providers). Having now been the process the other things that stand out to me are how knowledgeable, lovely and responsive everyone is - every step of the way we felt supported.  Also the report we received is so thorough with so many ideas for onward support! The follow up call was also very beneficial as it allowed us to ask questions and gain confidence in how to proceed going forward. I honestly couldn't recommend Spectrum highly enough - they made, what I thought would be an overwhelming experience, feel very positive and supportive." - Jane B

"Would highly recommend this company. Everyone involved in my teenage daughter’s assessment was very professional and happy to answer all our queries.  The face to face meeting with my daughter was taken at her pace and every effort was made to minimise her anxiety.  The whole process was completed within a couple of months of put first contact."
